Online Protest

Protests against a difficulty score must be made in writing and without delay to the Complaints Panel using the following Online Protest link. Protests against execution and artistic impression scores are not accepted.

A deposit of € 50 is payable at the beginning of the online protest and will give access to the Complaints Form. If the protest is successful, the deposit will be returned.

Follow the ONLINE PROTEST link or scan the QR code below in order to submit a protest. Remember to have a payment alternative available.

IRV Complaints Manual

The IRV has prepared a Complaints Manual that describes the procedure for handling online protests submitted to challenge the difficulty score of a gymnast competing at a World Championships event.

The Complaints Manual describes the full procedure for handling online protests and will be used by the IRV in all future World Championships.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM THE COMPLAINTS MANUAL

The IRV will delegate a Main Responsible Person (MRP) for each competition session/day to receive notification of an incoming online protest and initiate the process of handling the protest.

A protest is processed by a Complaints Committee consisting of the IRV Judging Officer, Competition Officer, Head Judge, Difficulty Judge(s) and a Supervisory Complaints Panel. The IRV Judging Officer, Head Judge, Difficulty Judges and Competition Officer are responsible for discussing and deciding about the protest received, while the role of the Supervisory Complaints Panel is to confirm that the received complaint is processed in a fair manner and that any doubt should be interpreted in favour of the gymnast.

The Supervisory Complaints Panel is made up as follows:

  • 1 member of IRV Ex. Board
  • 1 member from Local Organising Committee
  • 1 independent person

The panel members must be present when a protest is discussed and decided.
