The IRV Executive Board comprises the IRV President and four Vice Presidents. All these positions are elected by IRV member countries, according to the IRV Articles of Association.

Matthias Reich (SUI) was elected as President of the IRV by delegates of IRV member countries during the IRV General Assembly 2024 in Almere, The Netherlands. He takes over from Henning Henningsen (GER), who was president from 2015-2024 after taking over from Paul Sieler (GER), who led the activities of the IRV for almost 20 years.
