The IRV Administration consists of an Executive Board and a Technical Commission.

IRV Executive Board

The IRV Executive Board comprises the IRV President and four Vice Presidents. All these positions are elected by IRV member countries, according to the IRV Articles of Association.

Matthias Reich (SUI) was elected as President of the IRV by delegates of IRV member countries during the IRV General Assembly 2024 in Almere, The Netherlands. He takes over from Henning Henningsen (GER), who was president from 2015-2024 after taking over from Paul Sieler (GER), who led the activities of the IRV for almost 20 years.

Apply as candidate for IRV Executive Board

Election Candidates

paragraph 6.6 of IRV Articles of Association

  1. Nominations for positions in the IRV Executive Board may be made by member federations/clubs.
  2. Candidates for the Technical Commission may be proposed by member federations/clubs, the IRV Technical Commission and the IRV Executive Board.
  3. All members of the Executive Board must be members of an IRV member federation/club.
  4. Candidate nominations for the Executive Board must be submitted to the IRV General Secretary at least sixty days before the General Assembly.
  5. The General Secretary will inform the member federations/clubs at least ninety days before the General Assembly which of the members of the IRV Presidency are willing to stand for re–election.

How to apply as election candidate

  • Get approval from an IRV member federation to apply as election candidate for the IRV Executive Board (see 1. Election Candidates). Usually a written declaration from the member federation is sufficient. It needs to be submitted with your application.

  • Provide a resume and letter of motivation, that will later be shared with IRV member countries.

What will happen after your application

  • The IRV General Secretary will receive the application and send confirmation of its receipt.

  • The submitted documents will be shared with IRV member countries prior to the next IRV General Assembly.
