2027 Straight-Line Difficulty Framework
Dear Wheel Gymnastics Community,
We are pleased to announce the pre-release of the Straight-Line Difficulty Framework 2027.
Please note that this is a live publication and linguistic changes are still ongoing. Consequently, terms and phrasing may be subject to change in the final version. These adjustments will not affect the classification or difficulty values of the elements.
Given that the detailed difficulty catalogues and the final CoP 2027 are not yet available, some terminology may not be immediately clear or may be different from the technical language used previously. We are therefore also publishing a short document containing Technical Terms and Definitions. This document is intended to provide further clarification and explanations of the terminology used throughout the 2027 Framework.
We are also in the final stages of working on a similar Spiral Difficulty Framework 2027 that we are aiming to complete and publish as a pre-release version within the next few weeks.
We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the IRV Competence Team (Brigitte Faber, Dagmar Henningsen, Shaheen Kapadia, Miriam Kaufmann, Elfi Reuther) for the extensive work and tireless effort that they have invested in the development of the Framework and detailed difficulty catalogues. This project would not have been possible without their expertise and commitment, and the enormous amount of preparatory work they have accomplished over a period of several years.
Another word of gratitude goes to the previous Athletes’ Commission members, Malena Kernacs and Simon Rufener, for their more recent commitment and dedication to the project. They have provided the impetus for this version and have made a major contribution through their helpfulness and diligence.
We look forward to continuing this process and to providing the final documents in due course.
